- Domains can be registered for a period of one (1) year only
- Domains renewals are for a period of one (1) year only
- NO renewal grace period - Renewals must be made prior to the domain name's expiration date
- .EU domains must be renewed 11 days prior to expiration or they will be deleted within the month that the domain name expires. Renewals submitted after 11 days prior to expiration will not be accepted and no redemptions will be possible
for these domain names.
- Two (2) character minimum; sixty-three (63) character maximum
- Letters "a" to "z", the numbers "0" to "9" and the hyphen "-" can be used
- No Special Characters allowed
- Hyphen cannot be used in the 1st, 3rd, 4th or last position of the domain name
- Two (2) digit ISO country-codes are not allowed
- Can a .eu domain name be used in the same way that a .com domain name
is used?
The .eu domain is intended for use by the general public, companies or other
organizations within the European Union and can be used in the same way as a .com domain name can be
used.
